Coconut Revolution Lemongrass Mint Hand Cream

Nail Romance - Coconut revolution hand cream

I love a good hand cream but too often the fragrances remind me of my mum or grandma.

Don’t get me wrong, I like a classic rose scent but now I’ve found something better.

Coconut Revolution are a relatively new Australian brand and all their products feature cold pressed coconut oil. It has a deliciously fresh lemongrass and mint scent and soaks in quickly to your skin to care for your nails and cuticles.

This product was kindly sent to me to trial and now it has found a permanent home in my handbag. I’m lucky to get to trial many products in my work and only ones that make it to handbag status will be featured here.

The only thing you have to be careful of with this hand cream is not to smell your hands too much in public.Coconut Revolution Lemongrass Mint hand cream smells delicious but it can make you look like a crazy person when you sniff your hands.

What’s your favourite hand cream? Do you always carry one with you like me?

DIY Macadamia Oil Hand and Cuticle Treatment

Nail Romance - Hello Darling Nails - DIY cuticle treatment

Do you suffer from dry or irritated cuticles? Try this easy and natural DIY nail treatment that will leave your hands and cuticles feeling soft and smooth.

This treatment comes from the fabulous Heather of Hello Darling nail polish. I was chatting on Instagram with Kim-Marie about cuticles and Heather suggested this fabulous DIY treatment which I tried immediately and I can attest it really works.

What you need

  • Macadamia oil
  • Powderless latex gloves

You can find macadamia oil at the supermarket or health food store. It’s also great in salad dressings.

Make sure you check the gloves that they are powder free. You can find boxes of disposable gloves at the pharmacy or drugstore.

DIY Macadamia Oil Hand and Cuticle Treatment

  1. Gently warm around 1/2 cup of macadamia oil on the stove or in the microwave.
  2. Pour the oil into your gloves and ensure it is equally distributed.
  3. Put your hands in the gloves for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Discard gloves and wash your hands in warm water.
  5. Enjoy your soft, delicious smelling hands.

Treatment tips

  • Go to the bathroom before doing this treatment. You want to relax and enjoy the hand treatment!
  • Place a small towel on your lap to protect your clothes in case any oil comes out of the gloves.
  • Gently massage your fingertips while wearing the gloves. This feels nice and makes sure all the oil is distributed to your nails.
