3D Glitter Feature nail - Nail Romance

For those of you who love nail art, but don’t have the time or patience to do all 10 fingers, a feature nail is your style secret.

It’s so quick and easy to do just one nail and it makes your mani really stand out.

3D nails are a huge trend for 2013. Glitterbug is a new product from the darlings at Hello Darling and is a 3D glitter dip for your nails. It’s much easier to use than I was expecting.

How to get the look

  1. First I painted my nails with YSL polish in Fuchsia Cubiste (8) which is a gorgeous pinky red. It’s opaque in one coat and I’m wearing two thin coats.
  2. I paint my ring finger last and dip it into the Hello Darling Glitterbug in Unicornicopia. (Love that name!)
  3. Use the anti-static brush that comes with the Glitterbug to pat down the glitter and tidy up around and under your nail.
  4. Seal with a topcoat. I used Hello Darling Over top coat.

Feature Nail will be a new regular series on Nail Romance. It’s one of my favorite ways to wear nail art, and an easy way to translate trends into the everyday.

Do you love a feature nail too?

Wow, that glitter is so pretty! I love the idea of loose glitter as a feature nail because realistically you could just use regular craft glitter, and that makes it one of the cheapest nail arts I can think of. Add the fact that it’s so much quicker than waiting for layers of thick glitter polish to dry, and I think I’ll try it next time I feel like sparkly nails.

That’s a great idea Rachel. You can even use in designs to create a 3D finish too
