Kate Moss is launching a new range of nail polish with Rimmel London called Salon Pro. Kate rarely does video interviews and I loved hearing her talk about her nails and how she wears nail polish.

Kate’s favorite nail shape? “My dream nail shape would be a Sixties oval or long, almond-shaped nail,” she said. “I’ve heard square nails are coming back – but I’m fighting it!”

Kate told Grazia UK “I love colour and nail polish is an easy way to experiment with it, adding the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. Just like I always have the perfect playlist to match a certain mood, I really wanted to create a range of shades for every mood and occasion”.

The new Rimmel Salon Pro with Lyrca collection will be available from 10 April 2013. The collection includes Kate Moss’ ten new shades that read like a playlist for your nails. Colors include New Romantics, Rock’n’Roll, Classical Red, Punk Rock, Disco Fever, Rhythym & Blues and Kate’s favorite neutral Soul Sessions.

Kate is not a fan of matching your nails, or your clothes. “On a set it would be a big no-no to match the lip with a nail. There’s always a clash.”

Do you like to match your nails or do you like to clash like Kate?

  1. Ooh, I’ve had good luck with Rimmel polishes in the past, so I’ll have to keep an eye out for these. Rhythm and Blues looks awesome! I hope these have the same wide brush as the rest of the range.

    • It sounds like they’ve improved the formula with this range too. Can’t wait to try it!

  2. […] Kate Moss says it’s a no-no to match your lipstick to your nails, but Zac Posen and several designers others disagree. Oxblood lips and tips are a huge trend for Fall 2013. Try Essie Carry On, as seen at Zac Posen, Essie Bordeaux as seen at Wes Gordon or Butter London Las Moss, as seen at Dannijo. […]
